Co-Pastor Sharon Rochelle Edwards, collaborates with her husband, Rev. Dr. Kevin Lee Edwards Sr., the esteemed pastor, and founder of Rising Star Baptist Church in Bakersfield, in the pursuit of Kingdom building.
In response to a divine call, Sharon has dedicated over a decade to preaching and sharing the transformative message of God.
Her ministry extends beyond the pulpit, where she plays an instrumental role in organizing workshops and providing valuable assistance in various church departments.
Currently engaged in her Doctoral studies, Co-Pastor Sharon Edwards holds a distinguished academic record from Good News Seminary and Bible College.
She has successfully earned her Associate’s, Bachelor's, and Master’s Degrees in Theology, all accredited by the Transworld Accrediting Agency.
Her commitment to academic excellence was acknowledged when she achieved the honor of Salutatorian upon completing both her Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees.
As a woman of faith, Co-Pastor Sharon Edwards refuses to let denominational boundaries define her calling or anointing.
Her passion lies in delivering the uncompromising Word of God, and the impact of her spiritual gifts has blessed many with profound truths.
Guided by Psalms 118:17, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord," she remains obedient to her divine call, ministering wherever God leads.
Beyond her dedicated service to the church, Co-Pastor Edwards served the State of California for 26 years before retiring from a full-time position.
A loving mother to six children—Kenisha, Kandice, Kevin Jr., Kelsie, Kameron, and Kaelin—and a proud grandmother of 12, she finds joy in spending quality time with her family.
However, her primary purpose is fulfilling the will of God, embodying the blessings she wishes upon all.
